funding information, to give businesses access to a free to use

- Category browse for quick and easy access

Business Development Grants
Scarborough Borough Council has two grant schemes, the
Business
Start-up Grant and the
Business Expansion Grant, to encourage the
formation of new enterprises and stimulate the growth of
established small and medium sized businesses in the Borough and
companies looking to relocate into the area.
In both cases the main objective for awarding the grant will
be that the project will result in new jobs being created.
Other Funding Sources
As well as Scarborough Borough Council’s own grant schemes,
there are several other funding sources for businesses in the
Borough.
Finance Yorkshire
Finance Yorkshire can provide seedcorn, loan and
equity linked investments, ranging from £15,000 to
£2million, specifically to help small and medium sized businesses
meet the gaps in the market for the funding they need for growth
and development.
The Fund provides three main products, structured to back
businesses through critical stages of growth: Almost all sectors
are eligible (some restrictions apply) and we will look at capital
expenditure, working capital, start-ups and expansions. Finance
Yorkshire often works alongside other finance providers such as
banks, and other lenders and can help put together a finance
package to meet your needs.
